DONCRETE SPECIFICATION AND TECHNICAL DATA

DESCRIPTION

A general purpose dense concrete building block manufactured from the finest quality natural aggregates. The standard block has a textured face which offers a suitable key for plastering, rendering and drylining and readily accepts most types of fixings. Paint grade blocks are available for walling to receive a decorative finish. Alternatively, the product can be left undecorated if required.

SIZES & STRENGTHS

The Doncrete is a solid block with plain ends, a working face size of 440mm x 215mm, and in thickness’ of 100mm,140mm,190mm or 215mm. Dimensional tolerances comply with the requirements of BS EN 771-3 Strengths are 3.6n, 7.3n and 10.4n.

FOUNDATION BLOCKS

The Doncrete 7.3n foundation block, which is manufactured with useful finger grips has been proven to be both efficient and economical. Size: 300mm x 275mm x 140mm

DENSITY

The approx. density of the Doncrete range is 1850 – 1950 Kg/m3

SUSPENDED FLOORS

The 100mm 7.3n Doncrete can be used in conjunction with pre-cast concrete flooring beams and provides a safe and durable working platform.

SOUND INSULATION

The full range of Doncrete blocks offer excellent sound insulation which easily satisfies the current requirements of the building regulations.

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

The Thermal Conductivity (k value) for 100mm 7.3n blocks is 0.99-1.30W/mK

FIRE RESISTANCE

The full range of Doncrete blocks are manufactured from non-conbustible aggregates which satisfies the current requirements of the building regulations.

QUALITY CONTROL

The Doncrete aggregate block is manufactured to comply with BS EN 771-3. Our process involves checks and tests providing continuous quality control from raw materials to finished product.
